Pretty decent although slow middle act, felt like it was everyone else's movie instead of Scott, but Hank being Hank is always good and nice to see Luis and his gang get some development outside of being the comic reliefs.

And finally I don’t think they emphasized Hope and Scott’s relationship enough to justify calling the movie “Ant Man and Wasp”. Sure they team up a lot but that’s like calling Iron Man 3 “Iron Man and War Machine”. I was expecting their relationship to be the core theme of the movie much like Batman and Robin.

It is only a 160 million budget. That is fairly cheap by superhero movie standards. And the Fox deal with take a while to finalise,so there is still some time on the slate.

I enjoyed the movie except for the after credits clip. It comes out of nowhere, they're just outside doing the thing as if the attacks from Thanos' henchmen didn't happen. They should have worked that conflict into the ending rather than on something people will walk out on.

It was a double heist movie, which is just stealing stuff back and forth
The Janet healing quantum powers thing was a little iffy, but they honestly could have made it work if they had said something like Janet reprogrammed her regulator to absorb quantum energy and they just gave Ghost that regulator, but it’s hinestly not a huge deal

"Ant Man and the Wasp" isnt referring to Scott and Hope. Its referring to Hank and Janet, the ones this movie is actually about.

People are still tired from the super long quip fest that was infinity war. The actress they got to play wasp was hot enough, but the film didn't provide any fap fuel, which is literally the only reason to include a female superhero (see: Black Widow in Iron Man 2). Also, the writing was a step back, the plot was unexciting, and the ending was boring and predictable. They didn't do much new with the superpowers available to them either.

No, but you know how it is. There is an irritating minority of people around here that will try and spin anything real or imagined into "Marvel is finally failing you guys" either as some kind of shitpost or out of a general desire to see something popular fall. We've had these same kinds of threads for every MCU movie to come out since BVS, including Black Panther and Infinity War until the box office success of those was too undeniable for their narrative to survive the first reply.

Ant Man 2 isn't so obviously successful as the last couple MCU movies, so the meme is hanging on longer this time. Its not exactly raking in the cash, but its doing perfectly fine and in line with most Marvel movies financially speaking.
