What is the fucking context of this image? I have no plans to watch Thor ‘n Hulk’s Comedy Special, but I always see this image in reference to it.

I haven't seen it either, but I think it's Thor fighting in the arena against a hyped up opponent, and then the monster comes out and it's Hulk so he gets excited

also movie is from 2017, the comic is from 2018, one would think if they wanted to do "synergy" they'd go for a more recent one i.e Infinity War
Btw Thor uses the helmet for like 2 minutes in that movie

It's a mashup of ragnarok and planet Hulk. Thor gets handed a bunch of armor right before he's dumped in to the arena and fights hulk. That's just some random gear a guy jams on his head.
It's not a bad movie but it's what finally convinced me that the MCU was not going to give me anything I wanted in a comicbook movie. I went with my sister and put on a brave face but I was bummed the fuck out. Still am.

I am in the weird spot where I see exactly what you mean but Ragnarok was still the best Thor movie by a long shot. Better to be like that than the forgettable first two.
