If you liked the first one I'd say it's a pretty sure bet you'll like this one too. It doesn't have very high stakes and as was mentioned the villains aren't very strong character wise but I had fun with the films. Paul Rudd oozes charisma and Michael Douglas seems to have fun with Hank as well.

I really would like marvel to cap these films off with a third for its trilogy. Regarding the stakes, hopefully the film would have ant man, the wasp and the pyms facing off against a true threat. Maybe if this one doesn't do well enough Marvel pairs them with another hero? (Dr strange, Captain America, spider man)

I feel like this whole thing is shifting into some bizarrely impossible to please checklist of what a "good" villain has to be. I haven't seen Ant-Man and the Wasp yet, but Yellow Jacket was a perfectly good villain for the movie he was in. Not everything needs to fit that joke image of villain tiers, eve if you have complaints about the overall thrust of the MCU villains.

In any case, I seriously doubt they're the worst for the MCU.

It wasn't bad by conventional means, it was just painfully bland for a marvel film. It didn't help that it released after like two months from infinity war. Overrall it was a good movie, better than some of the other phase 3 movies for sure.

Aveng1 is arguably equal with Ant1.
Age of Ultron (fuck you haters) is better then Aven1,Ant1-2. And Infinity War is the best Mcu film.

The writers of MCU films are professional writers. They get paid a lot for what they do and they probably attended some expensive education and sucked a few dicks to get where they are. They don't have to check all of /co/'s boxes but even so it's not hard to write a good villain, even with heavy studio interference. If you can't manage that and work around it, you're a shit writer and a bullshit artist.

To be fair worst villain award is probably locked in as that guy from Guardians 1 or random aliens in Avengers 1. But Ghost's ironic lack of any presence and Morpheus's pointlessness are definitely down there.
I'd say Thanos is middle ground, and Panther's villain would be the best if he didn't switch to "oh btw i wanna ruin the world lol" after saying he only wanted to make Wakanda a force to be recognized and less traditional in nature.

Only thing good about the final battle was the way Tony went through his Iron Legion as Killian kept cutting through them like butter. Other than that he's the worst of the two.

Even at the bottom of the barrel, how anyone can choose Killian over Cross is beyond me. Suit was dope too.

Cross worked, Killian didn't. It's not like Cross was the best villain ever, they just made cross a better ultron than ultron was. It was a believable villain and interesting. He's not magneto, but he's not a dud. The MCU has had like 1 duds too.
