That combined with finding out his biological father was a douche spun him out into a general depression. He became disillusioned with his life entirely. It wasn't so much that he wanted to feel like he did with Flame Princess specifically, but more that he wanted to feel anything at all.

>>101639647It's magic, it doesn't need to make perfect sense. Grass sword becomes attached to Finn's arm. Some gets torn off, while some remains in Finn's arm. Healing gunk causes the grass sword to regenerate as a grassy, human shaped arm. It makes enough sense for me.
