Bonita appeared in Avengers West Coast in the late 80's. Angelica didnt join the team until Busiek's v3 in the late 90's. Bonita isnt super well known but I liked her a lot. So did Pym. In McDuffie's Beyond mini from the early 2000's he hooked them up again.

bonita was pretty terrible in WCA though since she was just another mouthpiece character for Englehart's view on religion. I didn't like her at all until McDuffie and Busiek used her.

In comic he's written as pretty salty, with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. It was done for the kind of contentious character interaction that readers crave, but the payoff and well deserved acceptance by the team probably took too long. Busiek oversold the angst, undersold the heroism.

The biggest mistake marvel has ever done was let Claremont make her the same age range as Kitty Pryde and the new mutants.
The whole appeal of firestar was her friendship with iceman and spidey. In 616, Ice man and Spidey are the same age but Firestar is still young af.
Also after reading Spidey lOVES MJ series I REALLY would've loved for some Firestar/Spidey romance arcs.

Last time Silverclaw showed up was around Civil War where she was one of the girls kidnapped and brainwashed by Puppet Master presumably to be sold off as a sex slave in Ms. Marvel. Deathcry was in the Chaos War: Dead Avengers miniseries and was double killed in that.

Same mini brought back Rita DeMara and the OG Swordsman (who also probably belong on the list) but the move was reversed by Brevoort on his formspring account almost as soon as the issue came out because he didn't give a shit about the characters. Same reason he overturned the Frankie Raye resurrection.

She manipulates microwave radiation, it just makes a lot of fire. But she can use it in space and go to ridiculously high levels of power there. She managed to nuke a Nova Prime with it.

The rest of the time it just means her fire is not put out with water like Human Torch or Sunfire.
