I assume it's some melodrama about how they think that Pink Diamond only encouraged them to stay fused because Garnet was powerful, so they have to go through a bunch of drama before deciding that they're going to stay Garnet because they choose to and not because of Rose Quartz.

Them marrying each other is just the conclusion to the conflict they’re having with eachother, again, probably a disagreement about how they feel about Rose. Sapphire will probably get over her feelings about Rose in a different scene by having a good cry and talking to Steven for two minutes.

I can't believe I watched this show during Season 1-A. It's all been getting insanely worse since then, I was able to overlook the metaphors about racism and sexism and putting down gays, like that The Answer episode, because I wanted to believe it wasn't what I thought and I was just staring at it from the wrong angle. Then they go on to have the two nongender but female aliens get an earth wedding after 5 episodes of sobbing about if their relationship is acceptable because they couldn't be gay where they came from but Rose told them that on Earth they could be, then Rose was a bitch and now they're not sure if they have the true right since it was said by a bitch.

I just, I can't fathom why this shit should be acceptable, I don't hate gays, I just don't want... this isn't.. this is a fucking forced and senseless way for adding progressive arcs in your show. I just wish the very first episode warned me of what was to come, at the time I didn't know much about Rebecca, at all. I can't even put my thoughts into words on this subject apparently, but I'm more disappointed in this show than angry.

I'm predicting that all 5 episodes will go by with just the ruby-sapphire relationship drama without touching the plot until the last 45 seconds or so of the final episode and leave it on a cliffhanger until the next bomb, only to have it either resolved in just a few seconds or ignored entirely.

I've probably been feeling like this since season 4 began. There is so much wasted potential, interesting concepts, and etc. for anything else really. I don't mind most of the episodes, but they just aren't the same quality as other episodes. Whatever that means exactly in SU, knowing the best episodes just happen to line up everything correctly.

There has only been one from a guy that works for a dubbing compy and watched the remainder of this season, he leaked Sapphire's song, said Stevonnie would get a flashback episode as Rose and sing Escapism, and also said that Jasper or something related to her would be brought up with the Diamonds during the finale, or something along those lines. There haven't been any other "leaks" related to Jasper, unless you mean the bingo card, or Rebecca saying she has future plans for her.

You could just think of Ruby and Sapphire as a hetero couple. In the context of the show, there is no reason not to. The VAs are female, but the crewniverse has always maintained the Gems have no gender, period.

And Sapphire and Ruby are obviously 'coded' as male and female. Plus they are different gem types, which in context makes them even more different than different genders.

Also notice they are wearing clothes for their wedding denoting traditionally male and female gender indicators. They swapped it around to make it interesting, but really, logically it should be Ruby in the tux and Sapphire in the dress.

do you know what melodrama actually fucking means? it doesn't mean bad drama, and SU is one of the perfect examples of melodramatics I can think of.

melodrama gets a bad name for lack of subtlety and SU has no subtlety. how do you tell if a character is sad in SU? they either ball their eyes out or sing a song, sometimes both. that is textbook melodrama, using over emotion and song to convey drama.

It does, however, seem possible that Made of Honor will end the Ruby/Sapphire plot point and Reunited will be about Lars finally coming back to earth. Not sure it's likely but I doubt crew could come up with much to stretch that conflict out for six fucking episodes.
Also, wasn't Reunited leaked like a year ago? I remember a lot of people thinking it would be the first episode after Lars' Head because it was leaked sometime during the 6 month hiatus.
