I enjoyed it very it's what got me reading comics again, I wish marvel would live up to this standard again and focus on self contained stories that treat the subject matter with adult sensibilities. Other than Paradise X, Universe X and Marvels I can't think of anything else that quite strikes the same tone and it's a shame.

Universe is, Paradise somewhat loses it toward the end because it was cancelled but it's still worth the read.

which curiously doesn't have paradise x. maybe it would be too large? seems odd to print a second volume just for that series.
I just really loved Earth X. Im pretty sure its the best marvel comic ever, and reads like the "last marvel comic ever"

It was once considered canon 616 future until of course inevitably it wasn't. The world building in that book really breathed life in to the alternative earth concept rather than be just a throwaway reference to introduce character from elsewhere. The closest thing that is similar but by no means as comprehensive is Old Man Logan volume 1.

It's indeed a masterpiece. Krueger saw the differences and different universes within Marvel and said "I can make it work", what resulted is an encyclopedic look at past, present and future.

I wasn't a fan. The story got muddy at times and there was a lot of character derailing happening all over the place. Some of it like Peter turning into a fat dad trying to connect with his daughter was alright, but then there were characters that got shit on for no reason other than the author didn't like them, like Wolvie. At one point I got confused and started thinking that the new red skull was actually an evil Franklin Richards and when the ending rolled around I was actually disappointed.

Glad you liked it though OP.

First off all, Alex Ross is a fucking treasure for his covers.

Kruger did a really good job building the world. The story itself dragged at parts, and it is a touch heavy on the text, but it all came together at the end.

Universe X was good, if a bit overlong, and made it blatently obvious that Issac was gonna fuck over Kyle with "muh feels", but twas a fun romp.

Paradise started good, but went off the fucking rails at the end, mainly cause it got canceled, and Kruger ran out of time to finish the story properly.

Earth X laid the ground work for Hickman and Remender later on.

Overall, 7/10

His X-Force and UA vol 1 runs referenced a lot of Earth X materiel, and at one point he pulled in May Parker jr into UA

I'm glad I read them but in my mind the story just ends at earth X
