It's almost as if the south didn't respect the northern state's rights to not have slavery.>>101182210
I could make an argument for it since George Washington specifically was the dumbass that started the French-American war which cost Britain an absolutely massive amount of tax dollars that America never paid to begin with and caused most of the policies that became cited grievances for the revolutionary war. Eg lodging for british soldiers since britain now had to have people on hand to protect America from retarded fights they might start and there was no infrastructure to hold the amount of soldiers needed.
The tea from the british Tea tax actually costed less money than the tea being sold previously and was higher quality. The organizers of the boston tea party for some strange reason were tea smugglers that would lose a massive amount of money from the British government suddenly supplying a higher quality good for less money.
George Washington rebelled because the reparations Britain was planning on giving France for the war HE started would include stuff that he was only able to profit from in the first place because of the war HE started. Most revolutionaries were rich wealthy men that didn't like giving up their war profits.
Benjamin Franklin was too busy banging old French women to bother doing his job of telling the king of england if there was something about the americas that should be adjusted and opted to play around europe while telling the king that everything was fine.
Only about 1/3 of the people in America even were revolutionaries and up to 40% of the american people either didn't give a shit or just didn't want to be the collateral damage.
Then once the war was over they stole the land of people that weren't "patriotic" enough.
While there were legitimate grievances sprinkled here and there, the whole thing was basically one massive con job by the people that caused the greivances to happen in the first place.
