>>101179219I readily expect Kallura to happen, but even with a third of the show left I feel like it's going to be tough to pull off convincingly given how they basically got absolutely nothing together, not even an acknowledgement of being friends, after a brief burst of interaction in Season 2.
I don't have a problem with the ship because I really don't care about shipping in general so long as it's well done, but good romances require a lot of time and development to feel satisfying. I'm not enough of a Kallurafag to be content with the fact that it happened at all, especially if the execution ends up being really hamfisted because the writers were more concerned about ticking off checkmarks than anything else.
Even if Allurance is unlikely to happen, at least Lance and Allura's characters are experiencing some kind of romantic movement and interaction, leaving Lance in a ready position to jump off when it comes time for his actual endgame romance. Also Lotura was quick but I forgave it because it she was clearly being hormonal and it probably wasn't meant to last.
Meanwhile Keith has been utterly static in this area, and with Allura it's kind of ridiculous that she has to juggle two, maybe even three other ones at the same time. Best case scenario is they don't pretend this is some epic love story, and end on it just being the start of a brand new relationship. Otherwise, it really could be the next Korrasami.
