Even if the former is true (of which you HAVE to provide evidence of), correlation =/= causation of the latter. And that STILL doesn't address the corruption of Catholic teachings that led to reformators like John Wycliffe, Jan Hus and Martin Luther mount their stand against it.
This begs for question: just how many Catholics base their reverence of Catholic church on conspiracy theories?
