I suppose, in the end, I like an action gal. Especially one who can rock a short haircut and is a ginger. Why? I distrust people. The purer they appear, the more fucked up they are underneath all of it. There are exceptions, sure, but I never bought into the whole "innocent pure gal" bit. In this scenario, with bitches like Hill, you at least know where you stand. With someone with blood on their hands like Widow, you know why she's fucked up. Janet is a bit of a slut, but again, you know that going in. But more than that, it's the whole "beneath the tough exterior there's a softer side bit". That, plus them being competent at their professions is attractive to me. I mean, what's the point of waifuing some useless pretty bimbo? Where's the atractiveness in that, beyond the physical beauty? And it's fiction, where everyone is a 10/10.
And because I know I'll get flak for this; I never got the hate for Asuka. She was a tryhard, but that's because she had a fucked-up childhood. Even then, she wasn't more annoying than the average know-it-all. Throughout the whole series, all the poor girl wants is for Sinji to man the fuck up, but the guy is such a pussy that even a 4channer would probably have better social skills. Meanwhile she's stuck with that autist, another girl autist, and a guardian whose life is in shambles. So, yeah. The whole thing is Shinji's fault, entirely. I get that he had his own issues, but she was basically telling him "wanna fuck, eh, wanna fuck" in code, in every damn scene.
So, uh, R8, H8, whatever. Bring it on.
