Specially after the shit heaps that was Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive.Mystic Forced failed due to being too red centric all the characters who had personality never got their moments in the sun. It also didn't handle the magic aspect well at all. Who gives a fuck about the record story the rangers should be learning magic and going on quests.
Operation Overdrive failed because they hired shit actors across the board, and gave them uninteresting characters who weren't likeable, and once again wasted the theme of adventure and treasure hunting with a bunch of bland bullshit. They dumb down the series which was the same mistake Saban would make years later.
