I could say as much as the writer wants him to be but to be honest, not much more than he is now. Adamantium does weigh him down, but his superhuman muscles keep it from being a hindrance.

it's not worth it
the only one of the Wolverine like characters who is dead, is the only one without adamantium claws (Wild Child), and being the most agile one didnt help him

Probably, but since Wolverine has his healing factor it doesn't really matter.

There have been mentions of him being faster due to the decreased weight.

Also, his physiology has been mentioned that the Adamantium heavy metal poisoning is stunting his regeneration, so its actually slower than it would be sans adamantium, also this metal poisoning is attributed to making him less feral. There are claims that without the adamantium he would be more savage similar to Sabertooth or Wild Child.

I think maybe his bones weren't "covered" with metal as they were "interwoven" with it somehow.

Sort of like how you can have a cotton-poly blend in a shirt, and have it still breathe.

So that would probably be why Wolverine is still able to produce blood.
