He's certainly not terrible in that regard and he does try hard in the rest. (I've been on his patreon and seen his comments about working to improve. So props to him.)
I could be biased with my ability to follow the flow easily. I've read worse published professionally like the work in the first couple volumes of the Courtney Crumrin series. Jarringly poor transitions there, yet decent art and story.
Overall even if our protag doesn't get laid with some cute Kobold (though I ardently hope), with this latest page of the comic I just hope that Zuma the dragon makes some friends. She's so sad....
