Animation has an average of, oh, lets say twenty different shots a minute. For an eleven minute show, that's 220 shots.
If you take every more or less popular anime from the past thirty years, exhaustively compile all of their shots together, and compare them to a single eleven-minute episode of an action cartoon, then guess what? Some of them are gonna look a bit fucking similar. In fact, a lot of them are going to look like ripoffs.
If you discount background, timing, gesture, expression, character design, and all the other small details, and literally only compare poses and staging, then every shot you could possibly animate is going to look like a "ripoff". It's like calling a carpenter a ripoff artist because he uses saws and hammers just like the carpenter down the road does.
