>>100840958>>100841065>>100841122Has any of you people actually seen the episode in question? I don't have anything against what it's trying to teach, but it's REALLY heavy-handed and forced.
1) Characters start talking and preaching things they never mentioned before or mentined very vaguely and in different context. Nobody ever gave a fuck about pronouns in MLP. Nobody ever cared about diversity for the sake of it. The original Zecora episode had a broader theme of not judging the book byt its cover and the racism just happened to be one of the underlying messages. You know, it's almost as if it was actually, uh, SUBTLE.
2) The writing is pretty poor, as the minority characters are literally making threats to the evil chancellor, justifying his claims about them being dangerous. That, and there's a 95% chance he'll be dumb enough to team up with Tirek and Chrysalis later in the season (you know, entities that are literal parasites that nobody should ever team up with) just to make Equestria great again.
3) Plus the sheer fact that you just don't cram 6 new one-dimensional characters into a show at its last year and expect anyone to actually like them (other than waifufags, they'll eat up anything).
