I think, deep down, I just have a small hope that Zack the Hack will make some kind of comeback. Or at least come to his senses and drop the comic entirely. It's fairly obvious that he doesn't care about Paranatural or enjoy it like he used to.

I wish he'd at least just fucking admit he can only realistically churn out one page a week. If we only got Friday updates but they had the detail and care that the older pages had and they were posted RELIABLY (like maybe, consider writing out a script for each chapter ahead of time and having a backlog of pages to fall back on when apparently every other person he knows dies somehow???) I think he could save it.

Or maybe he's too retarded and wristbroke and I'm just salty because this comic had good potential that's been squandered.

What would you do if you were in Zack's shoes? You make one of the most financially successful comics on Hiveworks. The artist in me says I'd eventually accept my flaws and do as you describe or drop the comic. But my shitty finances make me look at all of that money I'd be getting for sitting around at home crying over my wrist. And then it looks kinda lucrative, to keep drawing my comic even though it's shit and I know it.

The episodic natured Simpsons had a lot of time to establish its entertaining worth before the quality supposedly starts to decay. Paranatural on the other hand bellyflops just as the main drive of the story barely starts to kick off, which is way worse IMO.

I actually can't tell how close to the end we are. Lunch is over and Hijack is gone. But there's still all the vice principal/ school council stuff, what the hell Zarei was doing in the first place with Hijack, Blind Black lesbian following on, etc. We could finish next week, or next year.

Well that was super simple. We know that already. Spying and fishing for information.

Now how Zarei, Day, Hijack, Local Business Owner, and others might collide, yeah, who knows.

Because no character's spoken plan survives contact with the Plot. Hijack plans to escape and return to Zarei so that will never happen.

This character in particular legitimately grinds my fucking gears for some reason. Not even the character itself, but it's how Zack can somehow have such a lack of self awareness to go "Oooohhhh so mysterious, I'm calling him a "local business owner" even though he appears to be more serious than that, it's like, ironic! Don't you care so much about this new mysterious plot point even though we have like 10,000 other things I could have expounded upon?" How up your ass can you be.

I wish more webcomic artists had Ashley Cope's work ethic. Bitch has a SCHEDULE. If that schedule will change or take a break, she tells you ahead of time and has a set date of return and FOLLOWS IT. The "its not their job to make comics for youuuuuu" argument is worn out now that everyone and their dog has a Patreon and all feel the need to announce that they've left their real job to comics full time.

I'm pointedly glaring at both Zack and Michelle C. right now.

Yes. Zack finally iced his wrists and finished 50 pages in a week. 42 of them were spent on Max revealing he's a non-binary pan-asexual with a fat fetish and 6 were spent on building up to a hilarious anti-climax, but the last two entirely wrapped up the plot.

The actual Hijack storyline still isn't resolved. He's not out yet.
