Anyone who suddenly thinks only NOW that Rose is responsible hasn't been watching the show, even Greg says the rebellion was a mixed bag. We've always known this, the reveal didn't change anything.

The minor flashback from Stevonnie that we got showed her as spoiled and bratty, but the Pink in Pearls memories is clearly much older and wiser, she even looks much older too. We cant judge her by that. Pink says that she rebelled because she couldn't stand to see the planet destroyed and the life on earth harmed, that also hasn't changed with the reveal

In the Lapis episode during Stevens vision we see that Pink has been trying for awhile, slowly resorting to more and more extreme measures as time goes on, and nothing less extreme worked. In the end of the day the question came down to either all of the species on earth, or whatever gems fell in the rebellion. I think its fair to say the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few here, but that's not all. Pink didn't know that the Diamonds would go at the war so hard after she faked her death, she didn't think they cared about her at all. She definitely didn't know that even White would show up to shoot that beam thing, she even looks surprised in the flashback. Lastly the humans were defenseless while the gems all stood a fighting chance for themselves, it's only right that she defend the humans. Overall there's a ton of reasons not to fault her for making the decisions she did, the only other options were total human genocide.
