>>100333124Why would I? If you don't want to read comics then don't. Just because someone enjoyed the Tomb Raider movie doesn't mean they should feel obligated to start playing video games if they don't like video games. If someone liked Game of Thrones then they shouldn't feel obligated to read prose novels if they don't care about literature just because a show they liked was based off of a book series.
Comics are a wide, grand, wonderful medium with a lot to offer for those interested in sequential art as an artform and/or storytelling vehicle. If the only reason you think about reading comics is "I saw some movie that used some characters loosely based on characters from some comics that may or may not have even been any good" and even then don't really want to but only feel like you "have" to then you probably won't enjoy them. At that point, you'd just be forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do while not contributing anything to the community outside of being yet another person who spams company war bullshit, "SYNGERY, this was SYNERGY right? I can totally tell because this character showed up in a movie I saw!" and "BENIS XD" shitposters.
Just stick to /tv/. You'll be happier for it, and we won't have to deal with yet another MCUfag pretending to care about a medium that they don't give a single fuck about beyond the IPs it peddles.
