People around me were started trying out social media, all my favorite shows were cancelled by the time I was 10, I had a "not muh" phase, nobody liked CN Real, and there was one kid who actually liked Problem Solverz.
It was also the CoD generation but I never actually played the games myself.
Avatar was a big deal for a month, people actually liked Bayformers, I remember people rave about Iron Man and the Dark Knight, people thought Annoying Orange was funny and would try and watch his videos in the computer room, people also read Super Effective in the computer room as well, people passed around Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, twilight was still popular, I recall the hype for the end of Harry Potter, and people role played Naruto in the playground (hand symbols, ninja run, etc) and there was that one kid who watched Bleach and insisted that Ichigo was the strongest character in fiction.
