a lot of the show has been Finn pursuing women, getting rejected/screwing things up, and him dealing with that. him getting a girl and it not going wrong in some way isn't throwing all that away to just give him a happy ending out of nowhere, it's him showing that he's grown. perfectly consistent with the rest of the show.
I think him ending solo would have been perfectly fine but the way they're doing it here is also fine.>How is that a point?
the point is that if this was made to start the ship the ship actually happens, instead of that happening, it being made clear that both people like each other, then HW fucks off for the rest of the show because she's autistic.
