>>100144856I met her at a con. I went up to her table in the morning and she wouldn't sign my Starfire #1 because it wasn't her designated autograph time. No big deal, I wasn't worried about it. I went back and was about ten minutes late for her signing time because I was in line for someone else. She said sorry, I missed the time, but then her husband (?) told her to sign it.
She wasn't being mean or anything, but it's kind of frustrating when 75% of people in autograph lines are clear re-sellers with spots marked out for the signature and a stack of thirty comics and you wouldn't make time for a dude with one book who gushed about how much he loves your work. Tom King delayed an autograph line of like 200 people to spend a few minutes talking to me about my time teaching in China.
It's not so much that I'm frustrated with Lupacchino as much as I'm frustrated with those re-sell fucks who waste time that could be spent with fans. They are the reason why there are strict signing times in the first place for the big guns.
