East vs. West

So i understand the culture is very different between anime, and cartoons.
There a lot of tropes that when viewed by either side dont really click.
Most american animations falls into 3 categories with a few variations but always the same base
>capeshit
>comedy (bobs burgers, family guy, futurama etc)
>and kids (loudhouse, star vs, the amazing world of gumball etc)
If the the only way to turn a profit is by appealing to those demographics and selling merch (toys, hottopic, etc)
why hasnt anyone attempted an american "ecchi" and im not refering to "toon porn"
Japs literally rake in assloads of cash via the marketing of cute girls to fat neckbeards, why hasnt the US tried do the same?
