My biggest concern is that the reason so many people are hyping this show up is not because its actually good, but because it has representation on it.
We already know that one of the main characters is a muslim girl, making this the first american cartoon that has a Muslim with a hijab as a recurring character instead of as a background character. But if we go by the rumors, then it will also be the first American cartoon aimed at children with a male gay protagonist.
There's nothing wrong if they want to have that as a bonus, but it shouldn't be the only selling feature. I want this show to have something great in it that isn't just the fact that it's progressive.
