I've never said that, but I can see the reasoning for the mentality. Animation is now the cheapest and laziest it's ever been. The standard for 2D animation in the west is at an all time low and we're only just now getting hints of some sort of recovery from that. Some of the cartoons made in the past decade have been great and they've had wonderful artstyles, but when compared to the amount of effort put into older cartoons (Mick Mouse and Looney Tunes) there is a very noticable step down in overall quality. I guess you could argue that cartoons have been on this path since then, but we're now at a point where characters hardly move at all in the only animation that's even taken seriously by hundreds of brain dead "adults" who sit and watch the same shit every single day for years on end.
