Honestly, the deleted scenes really flesh the Kree out a lot more and show that they are more cogs in a corrupt environment and are taught their way of thinking. I kind of wish they kept a lot of that in.https://youtu.be/0OhGwz1wB-chttps://youtu.be/yYgoAfkXCgo
There was so much to the Kree that they removed, and the only reason I think they did this was because "It would make Carol killing them in the end feel more uncomfortable than fun"
I wasn't that big a fan of the Skrulls being good guys, as I liked the Kree/Skrull war being a metaphor for "What if Earth wasn't a super power in the Cold War?", but I do like that there are good guy skrulls as opposed to the comics where it's "kill all Skrulls". Still dislike how none of the MCU Skrulls have any hair, but I'm sure people would be all up on "Why do the female skrulls need hair? So you can fap to them?"
But beyond that, Captain Marvel is just a bland film in terms of plot, main character and environments. Everything just felt empty, and we spend so much time in just closed in metallic rooms the entire time, which is more a problem with the greater MCU than just this film.
