I know there are smoothbrains on 4chan who think studios and publishers are intentionally "going broke" in a push to sell an agenda. These people are total idiots. They think their "piracy vote" somehow has more value than the votes of people who may or may not be buying these comics and watching these show. SOMEONE is watching/buying them, and it's hard to accept that it's us doing it ironically just to complain about them. And even if that were true, it'd be counter-productive.
It's like /tg/'s difficulty accepting that they aren't the primary buyers of Dungeons and Dragons, they are simply out-voted on content.
