Well, people should always be making new villains and supporting characters but you don't have to make one up, Marvel does have plenty of villains who work in this context. I mean pic related. I think there is a point to made in how many villains have edgy bullshit forced on their character for trends/shock value in Marvel though - look at Speedball.
