It's also weird to me that people seem to think or like to pretend Hollywood used to be about important serious topics for serious people like themselves. And it's Mike we're talking about, the guy talks shit about Jodorowsky, he watches almost exclusively schlock, and his cultural graal is Star Trek.
He also makes multi-hour videos about what he doesn't like in Star Wars. I mean seriously, he's in the worst position to pretend he has higher interests than silly movies. Honestly on some level I think that's just an admission that his job is fucking pointless.
