>Does a DisneyCember for Nightmare Before Christmas
>Great Visuals and music, very creative. But perhaps lacking in narrative in characters. Ok, fine.
>5 Minuet Video
>Does another blatantly clickbaity video,"Is Nightmare really as good as everyone makes it out to be?"
>Exact same conclusion is reached as the Disneycember review
>Video length has now been needlessly dragged out to 11 minuets.
I know this nitpicky nonesense doesn't really mean much. But I think it's a good highlighter for one of his biggest problems, needlessly inflating the video with bullshit. I'm sure it's redundant to go on about the awful skits and annoyingly played out jokes that overstay their welcome. It's pretty much a unanimous opinion amongst his detractors.
One thing I always liked about the nerd is his tendency to make AVGN reviews just the right length. It's rare that I feel like an episode goes on for way to long, not that they don't exist. But I struggle to think of many that go past the 25 minuet mark, and to me that's a very nice sweet spot. And even his shorter reviews like Sword Quest still feel "complete" in spite of their short length. But the average NC review seems to go on from anywhere to 30, to 40, to sometimes even 50 minuets. And yet somehow they often leave me feeling like I may as well had closed and my eyes and shut my brain off for as much I got out of them. I know this is all incredibly vauge, but NC, whenever I do decide to give a random review a try, just leaves me feeling hollow. Like eating junk food. But even then, at least I can usually feel somewhat fulfilled in the moment.
