genius post senpai>>115299865>Facial animations are much better in TCW.
They're the same, it's body animations that are different - TCW never uses the hyperactive noodly-wobbly constantly-moving animation trick that Rebels does from time to time. TCW almost always uses the more seamless animation quality that appears occasionally in Rebels, or more rarely the cheaper choppy simplistic animation that's used for heavy fight scenes. They only finally did away with those shitty low-quality animations in TCW altogether around S5 during the Umbara arc, that's when they stopped appearing and you only got the pure silky smooth animation from then on out, especially in S7.>The same goes about effects, lightning, and so much more.
Again, it's the exact same quality, the only issue is quantity.>It is obvious Rebels was much, much cheaper
Nobody denies that, Disney openly admitted to it prior to its premire. Again, this is not an issue over quality, which is the exact same effects used on the exact same engine made by the exact same people, but the quantity they can afford to actually render on the screen which is almost always much much less.>TCW season 4 and onward is really cinematic, and I doubt it can be compared to anything else.
It can be compared to Rebels season 1 because the Rebels animators were building off the same recycled engine and SFX library they had, only ported to a new artstyle.
