This has me so much more stoked than I initially anticipated. I wonder how much creative control Gunn was provided given this comes right at the heels of him being dropped from Marvel. I can see DC trying to save the day by scooping him up and granting him no restrictions for his title (given a few caveats like, can't murder Superman) and an opportunity to dig through the DC toychest.
And after witnessing the beast he was creating at DC, Marvel realizes they done fucked up by getting rid of Gunn given that his entire thing blew over in a couple months and only served to damage them. I wonder how much they had to fork over to get him to come back for Guardians Vol. 3. Marvel must have sucked some serious dick for that one.
