>>99724643This is not the history of our people. I have been here. I have seen 4chan in the year 2005. I have seen 4chan in every step of the way since. I remember when we characters like WT Snacks who were thrown from the Olympus that mods dwell upon. I remember when we have /z/ as a joke easter egg board. I remember the talk of /l/ and it's purge.
I remember the first conventions. Most of all, I even remember my first post on /co/ back in those ancient, primordial days harkening to 2007. The phrase here was, "/co/ is love", and we believed it. We cherished it. We made it real. Being a "newfag" was an opportunity to be taught about new and exciting shows and comics that we'd share on 'RapidShare' or we'd give links to 4chanarchive for past, amazing threads. There are some that like to say it was reddit or tumblr that turned out hearts but those are the claims of people who think 2012 is a long time on 4chan. I was there when /co/ turned, it was the horses.
We died in that. I remember the mods and the other boards bitching and dumping their dredge of society here. And the constant spamming into our threads, mutilating our "/co/ is love" as an excuse to post non-stop and hijack threads with their horses. It was awful and ever since then, we couldn't use our motto. It was done. We did this to ourselves. Or rather, they did this to us.
