>>119654703>>119662794>>119662830>>119662862I’m going to be frank here: The limits of 3dpd and the current climate of “body-shaming” being redefined even further to mean “sharing the same plane of existence as people who aren’t satisfied with their own self-image”, I already knew whoever they could and would cast for Tinkerbell would never really live up to the standards set by our ebompoint, as J.M. Barrie would put it, eensy enchantress. So whether or not the actor they’ve chosen to fail at living up to those, let’s face it, impossibly high standards is white or not, I literally could not give a fuck.
What I’m concerned with is how she is going to try and capture the pint-sized pixie’s too-large-for-her-small-body personality. As long as her Tinkerbell has the same passion and over-the-top emotion, the same short-sighted and bombastic, yet not inherently evil, pettiness and, most importantly, the same protective and possessive jealousy and thirst when it comes a certain eternal child, then I’ll be fine with it. If not, then, regardless of how well her performance fits whatever role the suits make her play, I don’t believe I’ll care too much for it either.
