>feige himself is alright. we respect that it takes a lot of hard work to make a shared universe franchise work, especially now after bvs was such a disappointment. that being said, marvel's cheapness extends into the quality of their movies. we thought that since disney pulled marvel studios out from under perlmutter that the quality of their movies would improve, but they still feel like big tv movies. i mean, compare dr. strange to the force awakens, one feels like a low-budget mockbuster of inception and the other looks like an actual movie. they both come from the same company, what gives? another thing that really grinds our gears about marvel is how intellectually cowardly they are. they keep raising these issues about the surveillance state, libertarianism vs socialism, how people need mythology but they never do anything with them; the movies wash their hands of it. like, winter soldier is this movie where the government that controls the superheroes uses facebook to figure out potential dissidents to be murdered. at the end, the movie just goes "eeeeeh" about making any conclusions about it and black widow justifies it by saying "YOU NEED US!!" and people get mad at us for making lex luthor like mark zuckerberg. sheesh.
