I actually rewatched the first movie recently and I feel like people are misremebering what it was about. The focus was never, if only rarely, about staying at home and watching kids. It was at its core a return/origins story for Mr. Incredible/Elstagirl and their new team "The Incredibles". Most of the movie is spent on the island and the second Helen finds out about what Bob is up to she goes to join in. From what I've seen of the second movie this one will explore the struggle of balancing a regular life with the now more accepted super life and Bob coping with the fact that despite this is all he ever wanted he can't partake fully due to prior obligations (kids). Is it what I wanted from a sequel? No, but then again I don't think what I would have wanted would've been much better. Do I like Pixar Sequels? No. Big no. So it'll be what it'll be, but I don't think it'll be just a gender-swapped copy of the first movie either.
