Rose is a "real" name, why is Rose fine but Star is still seen as trying too hard to make your kid look special? I mean, as long as it's something within the borders of good taste people should be not only allowed but encouraged to name their kids however they want. Everything is better than millionth Tom or Michael or Ahmed
I'm looking at you western and northern europe. I hate being Michael - Michaels are either huge faggots or fuck ups.
Anyway, that's actually some interesting topic you have mentioned. In my shithole there is no official list of names you are allowed to give to your kid. The law only mentions that it can not be offensive, so you could easily be Rose, Star, Fork, Batman or Celestia (that is a "real" name by the way). Don't know about murrica.
Besides, what is a "real" name anyway? It is usually just encrypted meaning for something else, like Michael (hebrew for "Who is like god"), why would it be wrong to name somebody "Star" other than some people being butthurt over it, for the sake of being butthurt? It's not offensive or anything. Pls reply.
