>>91650436>What has Jackie really done for their relationship?
She IS trying to help Marco. She recognizes he's kind of a mess and when he has a "Marco moment" she tries to help him be less awkward and more comfortable with who he is.
In Bon Bon, when his attempt to "get to know her" is just asking her canned questions without even listening to her responses, it would have been easy for her to just get offended and ditch him for the rest of the night. Instead, she recognizes he's just really nervous and successfully gets him to be more comfortable with her by taking him on a date.
When he starts feeling like a third wheel and thinks he's messing everything up in Just Friends, she's the one to go comfort him.
When Marco's worried about Star in Starcrushed, she tries to help him patch things up with her because she knows Star's friendship is important to him.>Marco would most likely help Jackie too ... but Jackie doesn't say anything or do anything for Marco to be there for
This is part of their problem.
Like that one anon said in his fuckhuge analysis, Jackie is ultimately the "safe choice" for Marco.
He didn't really risk anything by asking her out, she tries to help him be content with who he is, and she takes things pretty easy and won't drag him into any situation too far outside his comfort zone.
They could work great as a couple, but he's already met Star, and the taste for adventure in his blood isn't going to go away.
