>>124595006>Smith’s gotten more “pragmatic” and careful not to step over toes compared to earlier in his career, but that’s a common thing with gen Xers who started out edgy and are still working today
This is the weirdest thing since all their careers were built on being edgy, rebellious, and pissing off thew authority whenever possible. Always saying what is most shocking, most offensive and trying to be the biggest asshole in the room to get a rise out of anyone they can.
Only post 2012 the EXACT SAME people are now trying to tow the mark, never overstep any bounds, always be safe and sterile, never shock or offend anyone, and only make approved accepted media.
The whole thing just looks an awful lot like>We spent out entire youth being rebellious edgy dicks, but now we're old and had our fun so we became conformists and we are going to make goddamn sure you conform too or else!
