There's no way to know that, it's not like 4chan has a list of the poster's IP and their names, and the only way to really know is checking IRC or their discord (highly unlikely they let a decomissioned janny join them there).

I think only a few writefags use it to post their stories somewhere, as far as I know it's more of a backup of sort.
Same with the endchan thread, because of the four month long meltdown of this one idiot we had to go somewhere to catch up on what was nuked.

And Northanon3 use it to make screencaps without clogging the 4chan threads

I wouldn't call it debasing, there's nothing intrinsically bad about it, and as said it's not what defines the Emmy threads, but the inverse. Going forward we really need to make it clear that the Emmy threads started here on 4chan and have been here for a year now
