I would like to see them dabble into using traditional/hand-drawn animation style (even if they do most of the work on computers) instead of using Flash puppet models.

As much as I love tradigital, I think the rigs for the series are a better fit for the budget and general aesthetic. I also like the idea that because the rigs are vectors, any new merchandise would resemble the source material perfectly.

Misery’s extended family was fun, but I felt some of them were kind of weak conceptually. Morose was a standout.
The Cavewoman one felt odd.
The one that was just a stereotypical Japanese woman could have been an Onry? or something.

Technically it isn't really polished but the emotion really carries the piece. I like that this picture shows a side of Ruby we haven't seen since before the show. Showing Ruby have a moment to herself to be okay with not being okay implies a greater complexity to her characterisation. Her bubbly optimism could easily imply she isn't concerned about a thing, but Ruby's isolation both in composition and chromatically as the sole subject and sole element of colour show that even an unflappable leader has some vulnerability. The pensive expression and distant gaze imply a level of introspection that makes the character feel more complete. These are things we don't typically see associated with Ruby Gloom as a character or a franchise very much and I appreciate seeing it in this digital painting.

I didn't expect this level of depth. I always had a problem with detail and other things like that but I try to make up for it in other ways. Maybe I should just try a different art style? My main goal was to try to portray emotion in this picture so it is nice to know I managed to do that. Thank you for the feedback, I just hope I can get better to try and bring Ruby back one way or another.
