In the 4th episode, Rick is taken captive in a simulation, because some aliens want his equation for making dark matter, something they apparently can't get from anyone else. In the final episode of season 1, he gets a party together, including a bunch of people that are in his own circle. Because Rick has a circle, one that he's exceptionally cool in.
At no point in the early season, has Rick ever been a loser in-universe. You are making that up, because you want to hate something popular. And what's even worse, is that you think your argument is against Pickle Rick, while the actual Pickle Rick episode would support your notion that Rick IS a loser. That he's such a wreck of a human being that he'd rather be a pickle than engage with his daughter. But you can't see past T-shirt designs, because you don't have a problem with the show, you have a problem with the people wearing the T-shirts.
