You're looking at about a month's worth of reading that's clearly delineated from start to finish and all collected in easy to access places online, both legal and illegal. You don't need to seek out other comics or materials to understand any part of the story, everything is right there.
With a cape, sure you can get one complete story that's significantly shorter, but if you want to read any more, now you have to go through an effort of finding more, and finding what is consistent with what you read as well as what you like against what you don't. It's an additional effort that makes reading these, albiet short, comics more difficult than a manga with a ton of chapters but a single accessible collection.
