Acts 7:54-60 (KJV)
"When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. / But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, / And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. / Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, / And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. / And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. / And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep."
God, Jesus, and the Spirit are all separate entities. Arianism is at the core of proper Christianity, and it was because of upstarts that the Council of Nicea happened. Constantine the Great was baptized by Arians. Christianity was originally spread by Arianism. Trinitarianism was used by non-conformists in an attempt to reconcile the Old Testament's "thou shalt have no god before me" because they weren't spiritual mature enough. Trinitarianism was, essentially, the denial of other gods and exterior forces, and that meant forcing Jesus out of his specialized role into being just the mortal form of God. That way, praising Jesus wouldn't be construed as worshiping another god, according to those idiots.
Even if God became mortal, He would not be human, and could not understand human desires. His strictness on Mount Sinai before Moses explained that no human could follow His laws is an example of this. Jesus, being both human and divine, served as both an interpreter for God and humans.
