>>3791162>Interesting. Not the kind of thing I hear about too many people drawing (at least not the ones I met in the past).Curious, what parallels do you usually see?
>Also, Saint Seiya is pretty cool, good taste. He didn't do much for me but I can thank Dad for that. For a homophob he was happy to watch animated, half naked men dance on tv. Though he seemed mighty uncomfortable when he watched some jojo pt 1 or 2 when he walked in once...
>I just get bothered by the whole thing with having someone really attractive falling for someone really ugly for no reason other than "the author wanted it". I like when they look like they're "on the same level".Actually I think I heard a study referenced once that confirmed that most couples members are about as attractive as each other. So it's natural. But I meant that in general in western media women are generally attractive but males are drawn badly. Like you'd think humans were as dimorphic as elephant seals if you only saw these.
I always relied on intuition and my grasp of the natural to keep things real.
In school I never really found any one who could relate.
I was never a popular kid and they aren't thinkers or artists for the most part anyways.
The "rejects" were even more insufferable, they could only think in pop-culture references and didn't have an original bone in their body. Their self loathing tendencies and tumblr/reddt tier politics made me unconsciously recognise they had little understanding of reality, no, they hated aspects of it even.
These people are probably now arguing online why steven universe was a masterpiece sitting next to their anime funko pops.
These are the people advocating for inclusivity when they are just making everything ugly and boring because "x is for everyone"
Sorry for the rant, it just feels like their is a severe lack of vision these days.
Actually, now that I think about it, I think I need to find actually intelligent, open minded people to spend time with.
