Sounds about right. AOM3 deages all of my results too and seems to need more variations of "adult man" prompts to make actually adult looking characters.
And the more lewd tags I add, the more the model deages the character so I keep having to add more tags to age them up again..

this created a bad amount of frustration for me.
And I am convinced AI will never replace human artists. It's an incredible tool for quickly visualizing ideas, but only human beings can manage actual creativity.
Case in point: this is an astrology student studying on a space station in orbit over Neptune. Or he was supposed to be. The algos simply would not generate good images of all these ideas combined. It would take a human artist to actually draw that.

After I removed "space station window" as a tag, and tried to just get a starfield background (which for some reason it still wouldn't do: too many conflicting prompts I guess), it generated a half starfield with a yellow light at the bottom. I thought it looked like a sand dune, so I rolled with it. It looks good, but it's not the idea I wanted. A little too "frank herbert" for my tastes.

It's pretty straight forward for the most part.
Also as others have noted, it helps quite a lot to have a powerful rig. I use a gtx 1070 and mine struggles a bit with the larger generations (it requires a lot of waiting).
The main size/space if you're concerned about that will come from models that you use, but the base install (just the repo) is about 8 - 10gb while a model might be around 7gb (some are smaller tho).

Just want to point out that those are technically models that you've linked, not loras. Loras are like super small models trained on a specific feature that you can use to influence a normal model (e.g inject a character that it might not know about).

Yeah, it can all be pretty confusing especially now that a lot of different terms are being thrown around and new techniques are used. I got into it when they released the first stable diffusion model and it was confusing even back then lol
