Personally, I take these images more as a snarky condemnation of the recent trend of insufferable post-modernism in the general pop-culture zeitgeist, much (perhaps even most) of which is prevalent in the anime/manga community. Personally, I couldn't care if you enjoyed these media or not, but being a smug jackass about it is just being stupid and intolerable.
