Did I hit too close home?
The last part felt slow compared to the rest of the game, I arrived a scripted fight feeling bloated.
This shit didn't even register in my mind so I find it hard to believe people genuinely cried here, I understand the themes I just think the delivery was poorly done.>>446491169
I could also chalk it up to it feeling fake or forced, I was more worried about the citizens changing than this kind of stuff.>>446497008
I guess that would be a legitimate reason to cry over this game, I never had that connection and just saw it as a game.
I play a lot of JRPGs so I'm used to the hometown destruction trope but I guess I have to sing praise to Stella Glow for how they handled it, I didn't cry but it got me to feel seeing your party dwindling and the game actually doing a good subvertion of expectations in killing 2 potential party members with ingame models while taking one away from you before giving everything back with a vengeance.
It made you feel dread and then glory something I feel modern RPGs often fail to achieve.
