Except it really isn't wrong.
As you said people on the fence will gravitate towards hating it, but there's a lot of tryhards on this board too who even if they enjoyed Undertale will pretend it was awful RPG Maker Tumblr filth just because it became popular so they can seem "cool" for hating on the same thing. It's an effect that spreads because even on an anonymous Korean plate spinning board people seek validation from others, plus all the fucking children that come in don't help that.
Yeah some people have their own opinions and free will but there is sure as shit a pattern in overal board tonality towards something based on two prime factors:>Is it popular or not?>Can I use it to shitpost about console wars?
The board pretty much is run overall on those two factors and that's why it's hard to find interesting threads.
