(continuing) Now I'm pretty sure I should have been at 3 during that last play since Shot was his 14th spell that turn and he exiled the cast Shot with his Remand. No use crying over spilled milk and I don't think my opponent was cheating me, so I have to get over it. Was really exciting at the moment, and Batterskull, Ballista, or Wurmcoil on top could have given me the win instead of the lands I drew.
Game 3 v BR Vamps
This is the new guy fron two weeks back. His deck is a bit better now, but still fairly casual (he lacks a sideboard, for instance). I gave him some pointers on making one after the match
Round 1 - boards get cluttered with his Bloodline Keeper gumming shit up and a Nighthawk with some bulk enchantment swinging in to chunk me while I use a Wurmcoil. He drops a Nocturnus, and he flips a land the turn after so I can mop with Ballista.
Round 2- he has turn 1 Stromkirk Noble which I cannot do anything to, but I drop a Wurmcoil later and stabilize after dropping a boarded in Throne to kill.
These rounds came a bit closer than I would like to admit.
Game 4 vs BW Eldrazi 'n' Taxes
Round 1 - I keep a slooow opener and eventually die to a horde of Arbiters, a Thalia, a Strangler, and a Sculler.
Round 2 - It is my opponent's turn to br slow with a one-lander into Vial. I win with Copter and Ballista. Apparently he had Stony Silence in hand.
Round 3 - My other big misplay of the week. He goes T1 temple, I have a hand of one drops, Throne, and Rejection. I drop a Wanderer (very bad move) and he goes T2 Thought-Knot, does not take my Rejection and instead takea a dork, and goes to his turn after I drop a Familiar. He goes Cavern->Smasher and I fold.
I got a promo Light Up the Stage, which was cool. Otherwise disappointed since I could have had a good showing if I had beaten Storm.
